Biography

One of the most igniting Illinois originals in the game these days!  Celeste M Cooper is originally out of Joliet, IL, which for those in know could tell you is the home to Joliet Correctional center, for which she was raised in the shadow of because her dad was in fact the Warden of the prison for years.  Celeste was more formidable in her younger years as an athlete, having been brought up to be a track & field and basketball star in high school, but this beautiful queen got bit by the acting bug somewhere along in senior year of high school.  Soon after she went at the acting game like a high jump and cleared it with no problem, picking up a Master’s Degree in Acting from DePaul University in Chicago, then she made a name for herself in the windy city on the stage!  She cut her teeth at the Goodman theater among several others in the city, but really got her big break on the small screen when she was cast as the medical examiner in 2014 on the long running cop drama Chicago P.D.  She’s sticking close to her roots because while she was shooting that, she also took on a role in Spike Lee‘s Chi-Raq (2015) as well.  She’s bound to break out soon enough though as she took on a starring role in the indie flick about an ex track & field athlete who does “Thru-Hiking”, basically running through long trails in all over the world called Range Runners (2019).  She’s about as fitting for the part of someone who runs for fun with her incredible body, which she gives us just a peek of while she’s fighting for her life against some bad guys in the woods in the thriller!
